General guidelines:
- Banners should be located at the top of the page, below the subnavigation.
- Banners should be dismissable.
- Only communicate a single action for the user to take.
Do not:
- Use too many banners across the dashboard
- Stack banners
- Use a banner for high priority actions, e.g. payment or account verification
