Logo Usage

The Cloudflare logo is a direct representation of the brand — our hero visual. The two oranges reflect our versatile customer base and ourselves. The center flare reflects our real-time, powerful network.

The logo is available for download at the end of this page in .ai, .eps, .jpeg, .png, .svg formats, in both the horizontal and vertical layout.

#​Lockups

Cloudflare doesn’t have a primary logo. Either the vertical or the horizontal logo can be used based on space necessity.

#​Vertical logo

This is the preferred treatment of the Cloudflare logo: stacked, with the cloud right aligning with the edge of the “E.”

#​Horizontal logo

Formatting or spacing will at times only allow for a horizontal version of the logo in the space. Use horizontal version if space is limiting.

#​Prouct branding

This is the preferred treatment for the Cloudflare product offering lockups. As we continue to grow, it is important to ensure our product offerings are showcased in a cohesive manner. This helps keep the brand unified, allowing the equity we build to roll up into the logomark, not specific product icons.

• "Cloudflare" should be placed before the product/service/event name.
• "Cloudflare" should use the Inter font with a font weight of 700 (bold).
• The product/service/event name should use the Inter font with a font weight of 400 (regular).
• When used on a light theme, the color should be #000000.
• When used on a dark theme, the color should be #FFFFFF.
• Internal applications should also follow these standards.

#​Partner & Co-branding

#​Vertical

This is the preferred treatment of the Cloudflare Partner Network logo, displayed vertically stacked, as shown.

#​Horizontal

Formatting or spacing will at times only allow for a horizontal version of the logo in the space. Use the horizontal version if space is limited.

In such cases the Cloudflare logo and the Partner Network type will be separated by the height of the Cloudflare icon (X) and a spacing bar with a width 1/2 of the ascender of “L” in the Cloudflare lockup. The spacing bar will be displayed in the same grey as the Partner Network type.

Our partner lockup logo typeface is Lexend Mega.

#​Clear space

When you’re using the logo alongside other brand lockups, be sure to use the defined placement. The required space between the lockups is equal to the height of the Cloudflare logomark (S). Centered in this space is a spacing bar with a width 1/2 of the ascender of “L” in the Cloudflare lockup (Z).

#​Legal

Our logo is availble with the registered trademark symbol (®), however this should not be for primary use. There are very few exceptions to this rule.

• This rule is applicable to Partner logos as well.

#​Colors

#​Main logo

Our three primary brand colors in our logo are #F6821F, #FBAD41, and #000000 in the sRGB color space. The flare of the logo represents negative space.

#​Partner Network

The Partner Network logo retains the same three colors as the Main logo. The Partner Network, in this primary form, includes an additional color - #747474, for the Partner Network type.

• These rules apply to Partner logos as well.

#​Negative logo

A white version of the logo can be used against dark backgrounds.

#​Positive logo

Black versions of the logo are not preferred, but can be used in specific circumstances:

• Promotional reasons.
• In support of social matters (specifically across social media platforms).
• When there are design/printing limitations e.g. newsprint.

#​Color background

#​Usage of color backgrounds

We will often use brand colors as backgrounds as visual elements for web, presentations, and print collateral, so long as such backgrounds do not impair or impact legibility.

#​Some rules

Black versions of the logo are not preferred, but may be used for promotional reasons or in support of social matters (mainly across the social media platforms) or when there are design or printing limitations such as newsprint.

• Our logo should only appear on Cloudflare core brand colors (primary or secondary).
• When overlaid on white, black, and non-orange brand colors, the original form of logo should be used.
• When overlaid on orange brand colors, the white (negative) form of the logo should be used.
• These rules apply to Partner logos as well.

#​Clear space

When you’re using the logo alongside other graphic elements, be sure to follow the instructions below regarding clear space. This will allow it room to breathe and ensure it always looks its best.

The empty space around the logo should be no less than 50% of the height of the icon, and when possible should be a comfortable 100% of the height of the icon.

• This space should not include the registered mark (®).

Minimum size recommendations are 0.7 inch width (vertical) or 1.05 inch width (horizontal) for print output and 75 pixel width (vertical) or 100 pixel width (horizontal) for digital output.

#​Partner logo

Minimum size recommendations are 1 inch width (vertical) or 1.25 inch width (horizontal) for print output and 75 pixel width (vertical) or 110 pixel width (horizontal) width for digital output.

• The register mark may be removed at 250px (.833 inches) or less.

#​Social proof logo use

When you’re using the Cloudflare logo alongside other brand logos, be sure to follow the instructions regarding clear space. Note that approval from the Cloudflare Brand team is required before granting another company permission to use the Cloudflare logo on their website as social proof.

#​Don'ts

It is important that the appearance of the logo remains consistent. The logo should not be misinterpreted, modified, or added to. No attempt should be made to alter the logo in any way. Its orientation, color and composition should remain as indicated in this document — there are no exceptions.
